Uma obra que se divide em três histórias com protagonistas femininas muito interessantes, as personagens possuem nuances que acrescentam muitas camadas aos relacionamentos. Um dos temas centrais do livro, que também aparece em Kitchen, é o luto.
As personagens aqui começam a apresentar comportamentos estranhos e a experienciar situações "sobrenaturais" que parecem estar atreladas às perdas que aconteceram em suas vidas, provocando uma série de distúrbios no cotidiano dessas jovens.
