C.S. Lewis cria uma narrativa extremamente envolvente usando somente um dos lados de uma conversa por correspondência. Screwtape (um demônio mais experiente) troca cartas com seu sobrinho Wormwood (um demônio inexperiente). Durante a conversa, o autor traz a tona a conduta humana em seus aspectos pessoal, interpessoal e religioso. De forma muito impar e graciosa, C.S Lewis faz uma critica social à Inglaterra do inicio do seculo XX, porem de uma forma universal e atual até hoje.

Um livro leve e divertido, mas com uma profundidade que somente um mestre literário poderia escrever.
