Dada a excelência da série de TV (que eu simplesmente venero), estaria mentindo se dissesse que não esperava o mesmo do livro que foi a origem de tudo, não é mesmo? E assim, esse primeiro volume não decepcionou em nada!

A leitura é bastante ágil e apesar de na série ter mais perspectivas de outros personagens, aqui é basicamente uma narrativa com apenas dois pontos de vista: Holden e Miller. E eu achei isso incrível pois eles são aqueles casos em que ambos tem personalidades bem opostas, mas que no fundo acreditam e lutam por as mesmas coisas, resultando em diálogos que me fizeram refletir bastante, pois ambos estão certos, ao mesmo tempo em que estão errados também.

Acho que o que mais amo nessa história, além do fato de ser realista pra burro em relação ao futuro da espécie humana, é essa complexidade linda das personagens, tornando-as tão reais que você apenas, sei lá, queria ser amigas delas, queria fazer parte da tripulação da Rocinante, tomar um café com o Holden, cantar karaokê com a Naomi, ficar na expectativa de ouvir algo totalmente inesperado do Amos ou ter uma conversa filosófica com o Miller.

É, verdadeiramente, uma das melhores histórias de ficção científica que eu encontrei nos últimos anos, então se você gosta do gênero ou se apenas curte uma boa história com personagens bastante humanos, The Expanse vai te fazer a melhor companhia que você poderia querer, tanto em forma de série quanto em livro.
