Eu não indicaria ler esse imediatamente depois de ter terminado o primeiro livro. Primeiro porque Crazy rich Asians já foi bem longo e no final acho que as descrições detalhadas vão ficando cansativas, então quando você termina aquele e acrescenta esse, que é ainda mais lento... Pra mim, pelo menos, quebrou o ritmo da leitura.
Dá pra entender pelo título qual é a coisa "maior" que tá acontecendo ali no plot, mas tem tantos eventos e situações pra enfim abordar a questão em si. A parte boa é que mesmo que tenha sido beeeeem lento na primeira metade, chega um momento em que, assim como no primeiro livro, a gente entende pra onde parece que as coisas estão indo e enfim (se você gosta dos personagens, da narrativa, etc) você começar a ter mais motivação pra continuar.
No final, acho que valeu a pena. Eu ri com a Kitty, torci pela Astrid, e me interessei na resolução dos dramas familiares. Não gostei de algumas coisas, mas continuou sendo uma experiência agradável.
Recomendo, com certeza, se você gostar do senso de humor do autor e dos personagens.
