BROOKE FOSSEY was once an aerospace engineer with a secret clearance--back before she realized that a life of cubicles and florescent lights was not for her. She traded it all in for motherhood and writing, which seems to be working out much better. As the president of DFW Writers Workshop, she oversees the largest author organization in Dallas/Fort Worth and the biggest annual writing conference in the state. She's written for Carve and other publications.
