Juan Gabriel Vásquez
Nascido em Bogotá, Colômbia, em 1973, Juan Gabriel Vásquez é um dos jovens escritores latino-americanos de maior projeção internacional. Em 2004, estreou na literatura com Os informantes, amplamente elogiado pela mídia especializada. Foi vencedor do prêmio Qwerty de melhor romance espanhol por sua Historia secreta de Costaguana (2007) e do Prêmio Alfaguara de Novela por El ruido de las cosas al caer (2011). Colunista do jornal colombiano El Espectador, escreveu ainda uma biografia de Joseph Conrad (El hombre de ninguna parte, 2007) e traduziu obras de John Hersey, Victor Hugo e E. M. Forster.
