In Patagonia (Penguin Classics)

Found this book on the shelf of a hotel in El Calafate, a city in argentinean Patagonia. I read the first chapter and was excited about the mysterious adventure it anticipated. However, the story ended up being the description of a collection of characters that come and go adding almost nothing to the narrative. It is very descriptive.
