It was great!
I loved this book, it was totally different from the Heir of Fire- that was long and boring- because all the 672 pages of Queen of Shadows are absolutely necessary for the story to work, go on and be interesting, there is no pause, no part of it without plot, there is only a story that deserves to be read. There were so many necessary topics to talk about in this book!!!! First of all how some monsters are made instead of born and how you let people make you to be a monster, another great idea was the one that said sometimes people are enslaved and don't show themselves, instead they show a Valg monster that had took their essences, also I like to discuss about how tyrant King of Adarlan was, how he wanted so much power and how he broke kingdoms and society with his selfish idea. This book is a lot of things, all at once, the thought that woman are powerful, and cannot let anyone touch their bodies, the idea that people have to protect weaker ones and this is not a weakness and, at last, how people's sins can be pardoned, even if it was too bad. I also remember Dorian and Aelin so young in the first book and right now, seeing them as rulers... Seeing them as king and queen, acting like them, looking like them, being them... Gosh! Time goes so fast! Ok, this book wasn't marvelous and it didn't touch my heart to make me say it was the best I've ever read, but it was great! Truly, truly great!
