Com observações extremamente pretenciosas, espirituosas e cínica, mesmo discordando da metade delas, eu adorei esse livrinho.

"Seria injusto esperar que outras pessoas sejam tão notáveis quanto você mesmo"
Mais uma resenha sobre outra obra de Oscar Wilde, porém, não exatamente uma obra dele. Dessa vez, a resenha é sobre uma coletânea de frases, pensamentos e aforismos desse brilhante e perspicaz escritor!

Meus comentários são completamente dispensáveis. A genialidade de Wilde transborda a cada página, sentença e palavra. Para quem conhece, em certa medida, a obra desse escritor, essa coletânea é mais um facilitador de pesquisa de algumas passagens específicas. Para aqueles que não são tão familiarizados com a escrita dele, pode parecer um pouco estranho, desconexo e pretensioso (não que não seja de fato, contudo, quem conhece a obra, entende o contexto).

Absolutamente recomendável para aqueles que querem se deliciar com a inteligência de uma dos homens mais fascinantes da história da humanidade, de maneira organizada, curta e rápida.

As melhores frases de Wilde
Uma coletânea de várias frases e pensamentos, que provocam reflexão, fazem rir e se emocionar, ou ficar ruminando por dias.

Fato é que todas têm um fundo de verdade, um incomodo, seja por uma auto-identificação ou percepção de mundo.

Leitura rápida, mas enriquecidora.

Esse livro não tem nenhuma história, é apenas um compilado de frases e ideias do Oscar Wilde. Como eu gosto bastante do autor, aproveitei bastante a leitura.

Não esperava menos das reflexões de Oscar Wilde, deveria ter imaginado que seria inútil grifar as frases impactantes pois acabei marcando o livro inteiro no kindle, agora só me resta reler e me impressionar de novo.

Pomposa e prepotentemente axiomático
Oscar Wilde nunca foi uma figura fácil, nem nunca quis ser. E é isso o que eu gosto nele: sua pomposa posição de inegável destreza e ironia. É magnética a imagem desse homem sentado numa poltrona, com olhos meio relaxados, dizendo no tom exato de superioridade e graça cada uma dessas frases.

Acho bastante complicada a possibilidade de qualquer pessoa concordar plenamente com suas opiniões aqui, dado que são, para além de complexas, um tanto contraditórias ao homem branco aristocrata da segunda metade do século XIX que se relacionava com outros homens. Mas existem certas provocações de profundo valor reflexivo. Aqui vão as minhas preferidas:

O que dizer de oscar wilde? um dos meus autores favoritos de todos os tempos, a escrita maravilhosa e os objetivos maravilhosos. adoro ler mais e mais desse autor.

thinking is the most unhealthy thing in the world
pensamentos e frases soltas cheias de ironia, arrogância e desdém pelos valores morais que nos fazem conhecer mais da filosofia por trás de suas obras. nos provoca boas reflexões ao mesmo tempo que nos incomoda. para mim, o maior incômodo foi notar que seu desprezo pelas mulheres vai muito além de sua sexualidade.

me parece que Oscar Wilde é a personificação de seu próprio personagem - pelo qual nutro profunda desafeição - Lord Henry: um canalha egocêntrico, pretensioso, arrogante e brilhante.

Sinto que esse livro foi escrito de maneira muito aleatória, como se o Wilde tivesse acordado em uma manhã e de repente decidiu escrevê-lo. A obra é repleta de pensamentos irônicos e poéticos !?

Enfim, achei o título do livro interessante e resolvi ler (inesperadamente) e gostei muito. A razão aleatória que me fez lê-lo e a aleatoriedade dos assuntos tratados nele foram o que me fizeram apreciá-lo ainda mais

Comprei o livro sem saber sobre o que falava, por ser em inglês achei que poderia estar me confundindo no início mas ao longo da leitura entendi, o livro são diversos pensamentos e opiniões do autor Oscar Wilde, foi o primeiro livro que li dele e já percebi que o autor tem opniões bem fortes e as vezes até difíceis de ?aceitar?, apesar disso senti muita vontade de ler mais livros do autor e recomendo o leitura deste.
