The Crisis

The Crisis (1901) by Winston Churchill '-' This is a novel about the events leading up to the American Civil War, by the American author Winston Churchill. The story is set in the author's home town of St. Louis, Missouri, the site of pivotal events in the western theater of the Civil War, with historically prominent citizens having both Northern and Southern sympathies. The book was adapted into a silent film of the same name in 1916.
