O livro conta a história da Lina, descendente direta de brasileiros, cujo noivo desiste do casamento em cima da hora. A notícia vem de um dos padrinhos: Max, irmão do noivo. Ironicamente, Lina é uma organizadora de casamentos, e o destino dela cruza com o dos outros dois personagens quando ela recebe uma proposta de emprego.
A coisa que eu mais amei nesse livro foram as referências à cultura brasileira: teve brigadeiro, farofa, samba, capoeira, e muito mais... A mãe da autora é brasileira, e achei esse elemento muito bem introduzido na história. Mas fora isso, foi um romance muito divertido, com vários personagens secundários interessantes e o plot foi um tanto original, dentro do que eu tenho visto no gênero.
