Raven, melhor amigo de Joey e que foi resgatado de seu lar abusivo e vive com ele desde a infância recebe um pedido de cuidar de pai dele, Clint, pois Joey iria para o serviço militar e seu pai ficaria sozinho. Desse modo, Raven vivendo com sua paixão e aprofundando cada vez mais. Clint, pai solteiro e policial, o qual dedicou maior parte de sua vida ao seu filho, e procura um amor que aceite sua dependência emocional e seus traumas. Será que esse amor será recíproco.

Inicialmente, a escrita é com várias metáforas, com uma narrativa mais complexa, assim, precisando ter uma leitura mais aprofundada e lenta. Os personagens são muito profundos, com vários traumas e personalidades interessantes, e o romance também é bem legal, embora ache que tenha muito hot (e muitas cenas incomodas desse hot).

A trama tem uma proposta muito boa, contudo, tem várias falhas de comunicação. O plot twist foi um pouco previsível e o desfecho achei muito apressado para a forma inicial que o livro foi escrito.
