Leiamos todos Chimamanda

Em 2017, “Hibisco roxo” já havia me impactado tanto, que adiei várias vezes a leitura de “No seu pescoço” por receio de confundir as histórias (ou por receio de amá-lo mais do que o primeiro).

Após a leitura, folheei esse livro algumas vezes tentando recordar se houve algum conto do qual não gostei. Não consegui. A narrativa da Chimamanda consegue me envolver de tal maneira que só lendo é que se entende. Ela tem um jeito particular de fazer críticas à sociedade, com uma escrita equilibrada entre o objetivo e o subjetivo.

É difícil escolher um conto favorito, mas ouso dizer que o conto homônimo ao livro, assim como “Amanhã é tarde demais”, chamaram mais a minha atenção, pois eu aprecio bastante a habilidade de se escrever com foco narrativo em segunda pessoa.

“No seu pescoço” tornou-se um dos meus livros favoritos da vida, mesmo que eu ainda prefira a complexidade da Kambili em Hibisco roxo.
