Acompanhamos a dicotomia entre mãe e filha, os personagens tem um certo aprofundamento que fica evidente ao longo da narrativa e que faz todo sentido de ambas serem de tais formas, o melhor a ser esclarecido é que não tem romantização com a maternidade, é tudo claro, na íntegra do que se passa no subjetivo e para além dele.

As partes negativas do livro é preciso senti-las, pois é muito vago comentá-las.
