"Alguém tem que sangrar para que o outro possa beber."

Faca de água se passa onde antigamente era os Estados Unidos. Lá está tudo uma bagunça, basicamente, por causa da escassez da água.
Os ricos vivem em condomínios totalmente fechados onde possuem ar puro e água abundante. Já os pobres, precisam se virar com o pouco de água que sobrou.
Angel é um faca de água. Os facas de água são mercenários que trabalham para pessoas que possuem direitos sobre a água e a sua distribuição. Angel trabalha para a Catherine Case e faz de tudo pra agradar sua chefe.
Lucy é uma jornalista premiada que veio atrás desse caos por causa da sua profissão. Ela divulga mais do que deveria e acaba correndo perigo.
Maria é uma texana que não tem praticamente nada. Mora com uma amiga e vende água pra tentar sobreviver. Ela sonha em ir para o norte, onde inacreditavelmente ainda cai água do céu.
Esses três personagens vão se esbarrar em Phoenix e então muito sangue vai jorrar e muitas coisas serão descobertas.
Sempre tive vontade de ler algo que falasse sobre a escassez da água. Quando vi esse lançamento da Intrínseca já quis antes mesmo de ler a sinopse.
No começo eu estava bastante perdida. O autor vai narrando a história sem explicar muito bem cada termo que utilizava, o que fez eu me confundir muito nesse mundo futurista.
Quando chegou na metade, tudo mudou. Aí a coisa começou a ficar interessante, parecia que eu estava lendo outro livro e então não tive mais nenhuma dificuldade com a leitura.
Guerra, sangue, reviravolta, ação... Tudo o que eu esperava desse livro veio, só que um pouquinho tarde rs
Faca de água é um bom livro, mas se o autor não tivesse enrolado tanto com certeza seria um livro uau, excelente. Da metade pro final foi, oh, supimpa!
E o que falar dessa edição? Meu Deus, que livro mais lindo! As folhas são pretas na lateral e cada começo de capítulo a folha é preta com letras brancas. Nada melhor do que ler um livro tão bem feitinho, né?
PS: Quando for ler Faca de água já deixa um galão de 10 litros do seu lado. Tu vai sentir uma sede, que não é de Deus. Dica.
