Anne Inez McCaffrey
Antes do sucesso como escritora dedicou-se ao teatro. O seu romance inaugural, "Restoree" foi escrito como forma de protesto face aos absurdos e irrealistas retratos femininos nos romances de ficção científica dos finais da década de 50. Anne McCffrey é, porém, mais conhecida pela abordagem dos mundos fantásticos do seu imaginário, nomeadamente nos romances sobre os Cavaleiros de Pern. Conquistou o Prémio L.
