Resenha: Bad Cree

Bad Cree foi uma leitura muito lenta para mim, mas adorei como Jessica Johns escreveu e desenvolveu esta história - especialmente seus elementos assustadores! Houve muito cuidado na construção de personagem e na escrita sobre o luto. Acho que o que mais se destacou aqui foi como a morte de um ente querido foi explorada ao longo da história e o quanto isso afetou cada personagem.

A perspectiva e a atitude de Mackenzie em relação ao que estava acontecendo me frustraram, no entanto. Eu entendi que vieram de um lugar de perda e que a jornada de sua personagem envolvia enfrentar o passado e se curar dele, mas tive dificuldade em aceitar algumas de suas decisões o tempo todo. Ainda mais quando elas colocavam Mackenzie ativamente em perigo.

Os elementos de terror aqui também foram muito bem escritos e funcionaram perfeitamente com o enredo. A reviravolta não foi tão surpreendente, mas a execução e o resultado final foram muito satisfatórios para mim. Acho que envolveu tudo muito bem e se encaixou bem na premissa.
