Um escritor egípcio

O livro me chamou atenção primeiramente por sua capa, composta por um longo aviso logo em cima do título, informando que não estava compactuando com as opiniões reveladas dentro das histórias fictícias escritas por ele mesmo. No início, ele descreve a dificuldade em conseguir publicar seu livro por ser um egípcio e por ser obrigado a continuar respeitando suas tradições e cultura, não podendo nem sequer dentro de contos insinuar pensamentos contrários da doutrina que egípcios vivem.

Mesmo diante de muita dificuldade conseguiu a publicação de seus contos originais, sem cortes, porém não foi um livro de sucesso.
Eu gostei bastante das histórias, todas elas me fizerem refletir. Percebe-se uma escrita própria do autor mais discreta em determinados assuntos porém, sua paixão pela literatura e história estrangeira também se torna nítida nos contos.
Uma leitura bem agradável repleta de reflexões.
