It had won me at the beginning, but after the second plot twist, the story dragged on.
Luke became Sloan?s white savior and knight, while she had no one better to compare him with, and then, just kept crying for everything, simply annoying. Always wanting Luke's approval for anything, so tiring and repetitive.
Luke literally came from nowhere and then, after just some days, he already would die for her??? This doesn?t make any sense at all, they are already young adults and decide to risk EVERYTHING just for the sake of having s3x? Your life is NOT worth a p3n¡s or a v4g¡n4, man! Wtf!?
Asa had the potential to be a great villain or, depending on, an anti hero, but his character development was weak at the end, really, it wasn?t exactly the ?end? that suited him better, it was fast and shallow. Could be really better than that, that way, the final scene wouldn?t 🤬 #$%!& ¡ng exist. Simply horrible, horrendous, outrageous, and superficial.
Not even to mention the characters that just disappeared or lost the meaning/interest during the story.
My first book with this author, and I was very disappointed. Next time, I?ll try to limit my expectations.
